In the early period (2014–2018), Euresearch focused heavily on establishing and participating in thematic NCP networks — health, space, ICT, research infrastructures, MSCA — with emphasis on training, networking, and information dissemination. From 2019 onward, the focus shifted toward capacity building for widening countries, SME innovation support through the Enterprise Europe Network, and preparing the transition to Horizon Europe. This evolution reflects a move from basic NCP service delivery toward strategic advisory roles and programme-transition readiness.

Euresearch is positioning itself as a bridge organization for the Horizon Europe era, with growing emphasis on SME innovation support and cross-programme NCP professionalisation.
